Ken Page's Free Teleclass: The Wiser Path To Love

banner-cloud6.jpg

Hello to all my readers!

I'm delighted to offer a free one-hour teleclass on Thursday, July 19th at 8:30 ET for anyone who wants to deepen and empower their search for love. It’s open to men and women of all ages, backgrounds, sexual orientations and life-circumstances. Each of you may have different “particulars”, but the same basic truths apply to almost all of us.

I don't believe that the search for love is a numbers game favoring the young and beautiful. Nor is it a desperate race against time.

It is an intimacy journey, but most of us haven't been given the map! In fact, there is a path to love that enhances us as it leads us to love.

I'm a psychotherapist and workshop leader who has worked with thousands of single people over the past twenty five years. I've seen this approach work for countless clients, and I've tried to distill my most important insights into this one-hour teleclass. These ideas have also touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of readers through my popular Psychology Today blog, Finding Love.

REGISTER FOR MY FREE TELECLASS - THURSDAY JULY 19th AT 8:30 ET

Let me share a bit of my own story. Maybe parts of it are also your story:

In retrospect, I see that it was lack of understanding that kept me trapped in my unsuccessful dating patterns for so many years.

The dating “rules” I followed left me feeling diminished—and on top of that, they never seemed to work. "Play it cool, play a big numbers game online, improve your looks if you want to find love.” I tried to live up to these “truths” for way too long, but they kept failing me—though it felt like it was me that was failing.

Now I can see why. There’s no love in that path to love! There’s no healing, no growth, and no empowerment. But it was all I was taught, so I followed it--to my own detriment.

Out of frustration, but mostly out of longing, I began a journey to try to understand the reasons behind what I called my "chronic singlehood."

Why did I keep falling for people who weren’t good for me? And why did available, kind, thoughtful people seem less exciting?  Why was it that the ones I wanted most rarely wanted me back; while those who were most interested in me rarely interested me at all?

The lessons I learned (with the help of many wise teachers) changed my life and have touched the lives of many of my clients and readers. I discovered that my "Core Gifts" -- the most vulnerable, passionate authentic parts of me—are what really lead to love. When I learned to embrace these gifts; to treasure and honor them, and to stay away from the people who couldn't honor them, my life began to change.  In fact, the very gifts I had tried to either hide or "airbrush" in order to attract someone were what ultimately led me to the wonderful relationship I’m in now, and to the deepening of many other precious relationships in my life.

In this teleclass, I will teach you three ways to discover your own Core Gifts—and how to lead with those gifts in the day-to-day realities of your dating life.

These are some things that happen when we learn to honor our core gifts:

•           We gradually lose our taste for unhealthy relationships;
•           We begin attracting—and becoming attracted to—kind, thoughtful, available people;
•           We develop a deeper sense of our life mission, our own path to greatness;
•           And we find ourselves, step by step, moving closer to the kind of healthy love we  seek.

If you’d like to learn more about how to discover your own core gifts, then please REGISTER HERE (you’ll also get a free recording of the class.) Then follow the instructions to confirm your registration.

When you register, you'll also see an option to share about the class on Facebook. Please feel free to share this teleclass with your friends on Facebook or through the social sharing links above. If you take the class with a friend, both of you can support each other in discovering your own paths to deeper intimacy.

Following the free class, I’ll be offering a class series with twelve bi-weekly sessions led by me, with additional peer coaching and an online community of learning and support. But there's no requirement to join (and no hard-sell, that's not my style!) This free workshop is available to everyone.

I hope you can join us!

Three Dating Myths That Keep Us From Love

banner-cloud6.jpg
Hello to all my readers!

I hope you enjoy my new post: Three Myths That Keep us From Love. I know too many people, myself included, who have lived with the burden of these beliefs, and I am happy to do my part in trying to shatter them.

I welcome all your feedback, please do feel free to share this, and I thank you so much for following my work!

Warmly
Ken

Three Dating Myths That Keep Us From Love

Beneath the glitz of much dating advice lies a cynical reverence for the power of packaging and promotion: “Women, be a vixen. Men, learn to seduce. Everyone keep your partner guessing. Lose weight. Be confident. Get out there more.” At the end of the day, this approach doesn't lead to love. It leads to insecurity and desperation. Luckily, there is a wiser way.

How To Develop Sexual Attraction to People Who Are Good For You

Sexual attraction can't be forced. Most of us have learned that the hard way. What we haven't been taught is that sexual attractions can be educated. Even if you're relentlessly attracted to bad-boys, bad girls, or to unavailable people, you can still learn how to cultivate your attraction to partners who are good for you. This post will teach some ways to do this.

The Five Great Hungers of Your Core Gifts

banner-cloud6.jpg
Hello to all my readers!

I hope you find this post helpful--this was a thrilling one for me to write, and it's at the heart of what I'm most trying to articulate and to live.

Please know that I welcome your feedback as I work to develop Gift Theory. Your insights are very valuable to me. No obligation, of course, but if you have a response to any of the ideas in this post, I'd love to hear them.

Thank you so much for following my work!

Warmly,
Ken

The Five Great Hungers Of Our Core Gifts

Core Gifts are the most tender places inside us. We find them wherever we feel the most vulnerable, passionate and authentic. They lie at the very heart of our creativity and our love. If we open to them, they guide us inexorably to what matters most to us. To ignore them is to commit an act of quiet violence against ourselves. This post will help you discover your own core gifts, and will explain the five great hungers of these gifts.

The Three Steps That Lead To Love

banner-cloud6.jpg
Hello to all,

Happy Valentines week. I'm happy to share my new post with you.

These ideas come from my heart, my own experiences, and from my work with many single people over the last three decades. I truly hope you find it helpful! And please feel free to share it with anyone you think might benefit from it.

Warmly,
Ken

Deeper Dating: The Three Steps That Lead To Love

An important message for every single person: The way we search for love usually determines the kind of love we find. Popular culture assails us with romanticized images of love, and then encourages us to play dehumanizing games in order to find it. The steps I describe in this post will not only lead you toward real love; they will also enrich your entire life, because they are the skills of true intimacy.
